Nominate your Supporter of the Year
Now in its fourth year, Bristol City Supporters Trust are seeking your nominations for the Bristol City Supporter of the Year 2009/10.
The winner of the Supporter of the Year receives a free season ticket from the football club, and the three supporters on the shortlist receive a complimentary ticket to the Club’s prestigious and entertaining annual Awards Evening on Friday 7th May. (Ahem, unless we make the Play Offs in which case it will be Friday 14th May).
Who gets your nomination?
So, who do you think is worthy? Could it be a fan you know who, like the inaugural winner Ian Cottle, has been travelling over land, sea and Plymouth to shout the boys on? Or someone like the second winner Ivy Haines, who has followed City throughout an extremely long life? Or maybe it’s a fan like last year’s winner Sean Takle, who has made a significant contribution of time and effort off the field to improve the way other City fans can enjoy their football?
Maybe you want to nominate someone for another reason. Perhaps it’s an individual who made a significant contribution to society and happens to be a City fan. Or a City fan who has made a financial contribution to the Club or the City community. If you can think of any City fan worthy of a special mention and greater recognition please contact us.
Send in your nomination by April 30th
Send an e-mail explaining the reasons for your nomination consisting of no more than 100 words (entries longer than 100 words will be cut back to the first 100) to miles@bristolcityst.org.uk. While emails are preferred, we will accept nominations in any form and letters should be addressed to Bristol City Supporters Trust, Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, BS3 2EJ. Please include your contact details so that in the event that your nomination makes the shortlist you can help us to contact them if necessary.
The cut-off date for nominations is Friday 30th April. All nominations are then collated and a shortlist of three candidates is agreed between the Supporters Trust, Supporters Club and the Football Club.
Players pick the winner
Remember that while all City Fans can vote for their Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year, it is the players themselves who choose the winner of Supporter of the Year. The winner is announced at the Awards Evening.
Please get writing. We’d love to hear from you and we’re sure that the Supporter you think is worthy would love to hear your comments too.
