Thanks to all fans who texted in to our 'Man of the Match' voting service and thus added to the fund to raise a statue to John Atyeo at the new stadium.


The Man of the Match at Ashton Gate in City's game this afternoon against Sheffield United, as voted for by you the fans, was:

Each texter was charged 50p (plus their normal text rate) and all profits go to the 'Raise a Statue to Atyeo' fund, with the aim of erecting a statue to former City great John Atyeo outside the club's new stadium. 

Except for unavoidable charges from the SMS firm providing this service for us, every single penny that is received goes to the fund.

The small print
Texts are charged at 50p per text plus normal network rates.  Voting closes after the 90th minute of the game.  If you text after that time, you will still be charged but your vote will not be counted.
