Atyeo Statue Fund Man of the Match

For the 2010/11 season, Bristol City Supporters Trust in conjunction with BCFC is once again running an SMS 'Man of the Match' voting service, with all profits going to the Trust's fund to raise a statue to John Atyeo at the new stadium.

Text 60060
To vote for your Man of the Match at any City home game, just text CITY plus the player's squad number to 60060, e.g. to vote for David James text CITY1 or for Nicky Maynard CITY10.

Boost the statue fund
You will be charged 50p (plus your normal text rate) and all profits will go to the Trust's 'Raise a Statue to Atyeo' fund, with the aim of erecting a statue to former City great John Atyeo outside the club's new stadium.  Other than unavoidable charges from the SMS company providing this service for us, every penny received will go to the fund.

You can vote up until the 90th minute of the match, you'll get a text confirming receipt of your vote and the Man of the Match will be announced in the ground at the end of the game.

Remember this number:
600 60
Six hundred, sixty

Did he deserve to win?
After every match, you'll be able to debate with fellow fans whether you think the choice was right or wrong on the popular fans' forum, OTIB, where we'll also give details of which players came 2nd and 3rd.  As the season progresses we'll be maintaining a 'league table' based on each player's game-by-game ranking in the Man of the Match votes, so if you think your favourite player is unfairly lagging behind, you'll be able to do your best to push him up the table over the remaining games.

So remember that number, "Six hundred, sixty" (60060), and be ready to text CITY plus the relevant squad number to vote for your Man of Match at every home game this season ... and help the Trust at the same time to raise a statue to Atyeo.  Thanks for your help!

Texts are charged at 50p per text plus normal network rates.  Voting closes after the 90th minute.  If you text after that time, you will still be charged but your vote will not be counted. All profits go to the Supporters Trust 'Atyeo Statue Fund'. This service is being run by Bristol City Supporters Trust, Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, BS3 2EJ. Please address any queries to
