Bristol City Football Club Supporters Trust

Calling all fans – Your club needs you!

Lend a hand and get a free polo shirt
Back in the old days, fans used to respond to appeals from their club to help clear snow from the pitch and terraces in order to get a game played during the winter. Remember that anyone?

If you’ve ever wondered how you can help your football club in this day and age by rolling up your sleeves and doing something practical to help out, well, now’s your chance.

On Monday 18th February (yes, this Monday!) your football club is planning to attach 10,000 red & white bags to 10,000 seats in the Atyeo and Dolman Stands. These will be held aloft as the teams run out against Crystal Palace, together spelling out “Bristol City” for millions of Sky TV viewers to see.

That's the idea! Just "Bristol City" in place of the Cross of St George!

That’s where we the fans come in. If you can spare a few hours anytime from 10 a.m. on Monday to mosey down to the Gate, there waiting for you will be the 10,000 bags, 10,000 elastic bands and a FREE Bristol City Polo shirt to say thank you for your help. To give us some idea of available help, please email david.lloyd@bcfc.co.uk and let him know if you’re coming.

If you can’t make it during the day, don’t worry. We also need volunteer face painters to wander around before the game and “decorate” kids. No particular level of skill required other than the ability to print a basic stencil logo on the smiling young City supporters. Again, just email David Lloyd and you never know, you might just be on Sky TV!

The Supporters Trust will be selling candles at £2 each or 3 for £5 (details here) outside the club shop from 6 p.m. and could always do with an extra pair of hands as well!

As (sir) Gary says, “If everyone does that little bit extra, it will certainly help”
